Horácio Simões Old School Signature Red 2017 is a signature wine, reflecting the tradition and mastery of Casa Horácio Simões. Produced in the Palmela region, this wine stands out for the combination of Bastardo and Castelão grape varieties, vinified with minimal intervention to preserve the authenticity of the terroir.

Tasting notes:

• Color: Open and bright ruby.
• Aroma: Intense and fresh, highlighting fruity notes with natural nuances from the Bastardo and Castelão grapes.
• Taste: Enveloping, fresh and vibrant, with elegant mouth volume and well-integrated tannins.

Harmonization:

Perfect to pair with aged cheeses , intense and spicy gastronomy dishes, as well as red meats and roasts. Ideal to be served between 10°C and 14°C .

Winemaking and Aging:

• Fermentation: Fermented in a traditional mill with minimal intervention to preserve the natural character of the varieties.
• Malolactic Fermentation: Carried out in used French oak barrels.
• Ageing: Aged in half used French oak barrels for a perfect balance between fruit and wood.
