Quintas de Melgaço

The idea of creating the company Quintas de Melgaço came from an emigrant who made his fortune in Brazil, Amadeu Abílio Lopes, who wanted something more for his homeland. He then launched the challenge to some small and medium wine producers to join forces in favor of the potential of wines in the region and the Alvarinho variety.

This project has grown from year to year and currently represents an important force for socio-economic development for Melgaço, projecting the region into the world atlas.

Based on micro producers, this mission is only achieved through the daily commitment and affection that its 530 members, that is, its 530 families, put daily in the fulfillment of their duties.
