Sidónio de Sousa Reserva 2018 – A Tribute to Baga and the Unique Terroir of BairradaExperience the charm of Sidónio de Sousa Reserva 2018, an exceptional wine that reflects the soul and unique terroir of Bairrada. Crafted with 100% Baga grapes, this wine combines ancestral techniques with a passion for sustainable viticulture.
Tasting Notes:It features an intense garnet color. The nose reveals fresh wild berry notes, characteristic of the Baga variety. On the palate, it stands out for its balanced acidity, well-structured tannins of excellent quality, and a full-bodied, smooth finish.
Pairing Suggestions:Perfectly paired with traditional Portuguese dishes such as chanfana, grilled red meats, and richly seasoned recipes. It also complements strong cheeses, making it the ideal choice for special moments at the table.
Winemaking:Hand-harvested grapes undergo fermentation in small open vats without the addition of yeasts or enzymes. Manual foot treading ensures a delicate extraction of the grape's unique qualities. The wine ages for 12 months in seasoned Portuguese oak barrels, adding complexity and balance.
