Quinta da Pellada Jaen 2016 is a tribute to the Jaen variety, known for producing elegant, aromatic and very fresh wines. Under the signature of Álvaro Castro , this single-variety reveals the full potential of one of the most underrated varieties of Dão, showing a perfect balance between acidity, perfume and light structure .
Coming from 60-year-old vines planted at an altitude of 500 meters in granite soils with clay and sand lines , this wine expresses a unique terroir, ideal for wines with a fresh and mineral profile. Fermentation took place in a stainless steel wine press at controlled temperature , followed by a 14-month aging period in Allier oak barrels , giving it complexity and a silky texture.
