A Traditional and Authentic Alentejo Wine
Natus Tinto 2021 is a unique wine crafted in the heart of Vidigueira, grown on schist and sandy soils at the southern base of the Mendro Mountains. This red wine is a tribute to Alentejo, produced with minimal intervention. Made with traditional grape varieties, primarily Trincadeira and Castelão, it undergoes spontaneous fermentation in 19th-century clay amphorae and is aged for 12 months in century-old Portuguese oak and chestnut barrels. Natus is bottled unfiltered and unstabilized, preserving its pure, natural character.
Tasting Notes: A vibrant cherry-red color with crystal-like reflections, this wine offers aromas of forest berries, forest floor, and a hint of green notes. On the palate, it showcases lively acidity, a creamy texture, and a refreshing complexity, revealing layers of elegant, nuanced flavors.
Food Pairing: Perfect with grilled red meats, game dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve at 16ºC to fully appreciate its depth and character.
