João Clara Reserva 2018 is a signature wine, made from the best Syrah , Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional grapes, from vineyards planted in clayey soils in Alcantarilha. This wine reflects the João Clara family's dedication to creating wines that combine tradition and modernity, highlighting the unique potential of the Algarve.

Tasting Notes

• Color : Intense black cherry.
• Aroma : Aromatic richness with notes of black plums and red fruits, complemented by nuances of dark chocolate and spices from aging in barrels.
• Palate : Rich and concentrated, with ripe tannins that give a silky texture. Elegant finish, with a touch of fresh fruit and great persistence.

Winemaking and Aging

The grapes, carefully selected and transported in 40-pound boxes, were vinified with controlled temperature fermentation, followed by a 25-day cuvaison. The wine aged for 18 months in French oak barrels , providing it with depth and complexity.

Harmonization

This wine is an excellent choice to accompany pan dishes, game birds and creamy cheeses. It should be served at a temperature of 16-18ºC , ideal for enhancing its aromas and flavors.
