Casa Cadaval Colheita Red 2020 showcases the unique terroir of the Tejo region with a blend of Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, and Merlot. This wine displays an intense garnet color with violet reflections. The nose is rich and complex, offering notes of ripe red fruits, delicate violets, and a touch of spice. On the palate, it reveals smooth tannins, balanced acidity, a pronounced fruit presence, and a refreshing, lingering finish. This wine pairs beautifully with red meats, pasta dishes, and semi-cured cheeses.
Vinification and Aging:After full grape destemming, the fermentation process takes place in stainless steel tanks at 26-27°C for 5-7 days, ensuring gentle extraction. A portion of the wine ages in used French oak barrels, adding extra complexity and elegance to the final blend.
