The grapes from Encosta da Capela are grown on their own farm. Coming from old vines, in a single cord at 1.60 m high, cultivated in small terraced plots on west-facing slopes. The terrain is sandy with the presence of granite in the subsoil. The altitude varies between 150 and 250 meters in S. Paio – Melgaço.
Grapes of the Alvarinho variety, manually selected for a light pressing of the whole grape. After 48 hours of decanting, the fermentation process begins at controlled temperatures. After thinning, it remains in stainless steel until bottling.
Nose - aromatic. In the mouth it is full-bodied, enveloping and soft. Freshness is felt with a long and generous finish with the characteristic flavor of the variety.
This wine was distinguished in the category "White Wines without Aging" achieving 91 points out of a possible 100 and thus obtaining an "Arribe de ORO" in the VINDOURO 2020 awards (the best wines from Portugal and Spain).
